Back in August I did this quick mini Engagement session for John and Amanda. Right now I’m missing that beautiful summer day, especially since “Sandy” is paying us a visit in the next couple of days.
We did the session at Reid Castle in Manhattanville College where Amanda attended school. It was a great location and we had a fun time exploring the castle. Two things I found out while being at the castle…
1. Tina Fey was there to film a movie a couple of months ago. (I did not get to see her there, but knowing she was there made it my new favorite place. “Liz Lemon” and Tina Fey are my heroes)
2. My least favorite thing I found out about the castle is that its haunted. (I choose to believe the rumors which is my downfall) I admit I’m a big baby when it comes to spooky stuff like that, but I braved it through while exploring the castle with the cute couple.
Nothing scary happened (thank god!) and I got to capture some sweet and loving moments. John was a natural in front of the camera (he was scary good! haha! Had to throw that in there) and Amanda played off of John so well. Its easy when you are in love. They both get gold stars from me 🙂
A million thanks to John and Amanda for working with me. I know that when I see you both next year for your wedding that it will be a wonderful and fun time. I look forward to hitting an 800 email thread count with you 🙂
