Back in June I had a fantastic wedding to photograph up in Albany. This was my second trip up and like before it was a unique experience. Last year I was in Albany (right before Hurricane Irene came along) for Yuriy and Yulia’s wedding. I was so happy to be there again for her sisters wedding. Crazy to see so many familiar faces from last year…it was like playing the game “guess who?”
I had arrived in Albany excited for the day and to see Deanna’s family. They are all so sweet and I just love how they all knew my name from the last time I was there. I literally giggled to myself as I walked into the home, and Deanna’s mother saw me as she was walking to her bedroom and said “Hello Maria-you know where everything is…” So I made my way around the house (a house I’d love to have) to capture the excitement while Deanna got ready! I’ll say this about the sisters in this family…they have a great eye for fabulous shoes!!
The entire day was a lot of fun (despite the bright and sticky sun!) We went to the beautiful Schenectady Rose Garden for portraits. I’d like to go back there just to take photos of the flowers. After the lovely ceremony and reception we made our way to downtown Albany for our final portraits. I couldn’t believe how fast the day went, but its true what they say “Time flies when your having fun!” and I truly have fun when I’m behind a camera 🙂
A million thanks for Deanna and Paul for working with me. You made me feel so great being there again and I’m happy knowing I made a good impression the first time around. I felt like a guest instead of the photographer there to capture your special day. Something I think is so special is the bond between families and its fantastic seeing how your families are so supportive, loving and happy for you two. Best wishes in what I know will be a wonderful future. Hope to see you guys soon 🙂
xoxo Maria
